The detached house, monolithic in appearance, is located in the leafy district of Hamburg Othmarschen. Three differently shaped dormers break up the large roof plane and allow optimal use of space. Staircases and galleries create different levels within the interior. Narrow, slit-like skylights in the roof surface illuminate stairwells, corridors and the studio space on the top floor. A spacious terrace the width of the entire building leads into the garden, creating a smooth transition from interior to exterior.
