Invitation to tender with eight participants. In Hamburg-Winterhude a new building is developed for mixed use including retail and office space, 67 apartments and underground parking. A five-storey building, closed on the street-side and with an additional penthouse level forms a U-shape around an inner courtyard, where a three-storey building completes the ensemble. The modest, bright building reflects the white plaster facades of the neighbouring buildings and simultaneously forms a vibrant frame for the inserted brick block which animates the building structure. The versatile floor plans range from single to family-friendly apartments.
