Ciudad Creativa Digital Guadalajara

Participation in competition in collaboration with Villar Watty Arcquitectos. The planning area is located in the centre of Guadalajara, Mexico, on one of the most significant axes of the city. Some of the city’s most important buildings are located here, such as the cathedral, the Liberation Square, the city administration, the Degollado Theatre and the Cabañas orphanage. Parallel to this axis is the planning area for the “Complejo Creativo” (Creative Complex), part of the “Ciudad Creativa Digital” (Digital Creative City). On a plot of about 5,700 square meters and a floor space of about 28,000 m², a striking urban, solidly formed perimeter block is planned. The base area, consisting of two existing buildings and a starkly structured, connecting new build, carries the offset “incubator” – a three-dimensional, open system, which offers a flexible space for creative processes and interactions.
